The Oxford University Malaysia Club is the official union of Malaysian students at the University of Oxford.
We like to think of ourselves as ais kacang. We come from different backgrounds, have different principles; think differently; strive for different pursuits. Yet, like the many flavours in the Malaysian dessert – sweet corn, grass jelly, coconut milk, and what have you – we come together beautifully.
Founded in Trinity 1991, we serve the many needs and aspirations of our Malaysian Oxonians. We empower our members with intellectual development, leadership experiences and professional networking opportunities. We engage with students of other societies, universities and nationalities. We extend our helping hand to the many young students in Malaysia dreaming of an Oxford education. But perhaps most importantly, we enjoy the company of each other and celebrate life with wonderful food.
There is lots to see and more to experience in the city of dreaming spires. Whether it’s a captivating talk by a prominent figure, a fancy formal dinner in the halls of an ancient college, a classy night at the theatre on George Street, or one of the many excursions to the best places to eat; we’ve got something for everyone.
