Leaps of Knowledge Conference | St Anne’s Summer School

From 20th to 25th July, St Anne’s College organised the inaugural summer school in Garden International School introducing participants to university education in the UK and University of Oxford. During the summer school, participating students had the opportunity to attend classes tutorial-style ranging from international relations and maths to biochemistry and geography.

The week-long programme culminated in the Leaps of Knowledge Conference on Saturday 25th July where St Anne’s tutors spoke about their subjects offered in the university and gave a brief overview to the application process. Representatives from OUMC were also present to share about student life in Oxford, conduct live mock interviews and answer questions from the attendees. Our members were also interviewed by and featured on national TV during the event (link to video here).

We hope that both participants of the summer school programme and conference have benefitted from the information and knowledge shared with them as well as enjoyed themselves during the events. We would also like to express our gratitude to St Anne’s College and FrogAsia for organising the summer school and we hope that there will be a second one in the near future.
