On the 14th of October 2015, two Malaysian opposition MPs YB Dr Ong Kian Ming and YB Ng Wei Aik visited Oxford and gave a talk to OUMC members. The talk was titled “The Future of Opposition in Malaysia” and was attended by more than 20 members of the club. The two speakers spoke about a broad range of topics, including the newly-formed Pakatan Harapan, the upcoming parliamentary session, and the 2016 Sarawak state election. The talks were followed by a lively Q&A session which gave members a better understanding of the current political situation in Malaysia.
