On the 9th of February, the Oxford University Malaysia Club hosted our alumnus, Mr YB Tony Pua, the DAP National Publicity Secretary and MP for Petaling Jaya Utara for a dinner at the Opium Den Restaurant followed by a dialogue session at Balliol College.

YB Pua shared with us his student experience in Oxford as well as other personal stories such as his motivations for returning home to work in Malaysia after graduation. Also, he exchanged opinions with us regarding prevalent current affairs back home in Malaysia, and spoke of the need for the general public to avoid sensationalizing and politicizing national affairs, and instead focus their efforts on collectively bringing constructive change to the country.

The dialogue ended at 2200 hours. The club thanks YB Tony Pua for taking time off his packed UK tour schedule to meet us.
